Goals for 2024

Continuing to improve the adoption rate for Lely products – not only for automatic milking systems, but also for feeding and manure – by building on the massive growth of the cluster and Lely Centers in Türkiye.

Promoting Lely as a supplier of high-quality and high-ROI solutions for local farmers which help them to increase their profitability and production while decreasing costs.

Increasing awareness and recognition of the Lely brand as the most valued and desired partner for robotic farming systems in the agriculture and livestock sectors.

Challenges

All dairy farmers, including those in Türkiye, face many different challenges at the moment. These range from fluctuations in feed prices and limited access to high-quality feed, to extreme weather conditions – such as droughts or floods – that may impact feed availability and animal welfare. Another challenge for Turkish producers is competition from imported dairy products. On top of that, many Turkish farmers currently face regulatory issues.

Despite all these challenges, investment in innovative and sustainable business practices can enhance the resilience and competitiveness of the Turkish dairy sector. Lely’s automated milking and feeding systems can play a role in this context. For example, the Lely Astronaut reduces labour demands and increases efficiency. Meanwhile, the Lely Vector and Lely Juno can help optimise feed usage and reduce waste and costs. All of these solutions support the monitoring of cow health and performance.
