Additionally, today, we are guided by the five impact areas that we believe will secure the licence to produce for our farmers. With an even closer eye on our animals and the environment and listening to society’s and consumers’ concerns. Bringing the world of farming closer to the "city" again. Showing the beauty of farming and the pride of farmers. Demonstrating the steps already taken to make dairy farming more sustainable. Leading the way to circular dairy farming, and to honest, nutritious food.

The Farm of the Future is about the farmer. It’s about focusing on farmers and their needs. That farmer focus brings us back to the core of our business: making farmers’ lives easier, more profitable and, at the same time, accepted by society to ultimately protect their licence to produce.

So, let’s "eat the frog". Let’s take up today’s challenges and turn them into tomorrow’s opportunities. Let’s innovate and improve for the sake of our farmers, so that they can provide food for us and for generations to come.

The Farm of the Future is about bringing back prestige and respect for farmers so that they receive more appreciation for what they do, namely taking care of our food. And due to the growing world population, we face a big challenge. After all, more food needs to be produced in the coming decades than has been produced in total over the past centuries.

As supporting food production and working on the Farm of the Future shows, innovation is deeply rooted in our DNA. Ever since 1948, we have been looking to the future and have remained open to doing things "different than usual". Back then, we were determined to help farmers work more efficiently and produce more food. Today, we continue to help farmers run their businesses more efficiently to produce nutritious food for the growing population.

To do this, we maintain our unwavering belief in innovation. By identifying challenges, really understanding them and finding more than one solution in each case. By being truly creative and not shying away from the unknown.

It has been about a year since we launched our new vision of the Farm of the Future. A vision that takes us back to where it all started when my father and uncle founded our company: making farmers’ lives easier.
