I end my day with some me-time. Drawing, painting and playing with colours is a form of meditation for me. I think it’s the best way to finish a workday, with some wine, music and art!

After getting some work done, it’s time for a short break! Before ending my workday, I beat my colleague in a game of billiards – as usual! Here you can see him thinking about his next move!

In the afternoon, I have some meetings planned. This week, we’re preparing our next PI (Programme Increment) plan, which enables us to schedule our work for the upcoming three months. In this meeting we identify our PI goals, coordinate efforts and synchronise our work planning for the coming period. Together with my team members I discuss the progress and we check the next targets we’ll be working on. I love PI planning preparations. It feels like a fresh new start and I’m always excited about all the work we’ll do and achieve!
Lunch
There aren’t many colleagues joining me in the office today, so we decide to go out for lunch. I choose a healthy, light meal in good company!

Before diving into work, I take a look at the news to keep up to date with what's going on in the world. I'm dreaming about the upcoming bright future of my home country. Alright, that's done: check!
Every typical workday starts with checking my e-mails and new messages. I hope we don’t run into any urgent bugs. After that, I’ll work on my targets for the day!
Coffee
I start my day with a cup of coffee – always! I consider the reflection on the coffee machine as my ID card; it shows my face, my surname and my company. 😉
Hi, my name is İlay Cura, software engineer at Lely Turkey PD in Istanbul. I joined Lely in October 2021 and have been working in the team responsible for Health & Reproduction Development since then. Our team helps farm managers to manage and monitor the reproduction and health of their dairy cows.
We aim to contribute to a healthy dairy cow population while at the same time increasing the farm’s efficiency and profitability. In my role, I’m responsible for further development of sensors and software which collect the dairy cows’ health data.
Today is a typical Tuesday where I work at the office. Will you join me on my workday?
