Being smarter and
more mindful

'Smart energy use and thoughtful planning help sustainability become part of everyday operations at Lely Cluster North America. Across our facilities, smart energy resources automatically manage lighting and other energy systems, helping us conserve energy in a practical and efficient way.

We are also looking closely at process footprints and operational efficiencies within our supply chain management. By working intentionally with our Local Centers on parts orders and carefully planning delivery timelines, teams can prioritise more effectively while reducing unnecessary costs, time, and waste.

This approach helps us condense materials and packaging, minimize excess shipping resources, and ultimately reduce our environmental footprint by being smarter and more mindful about what is truly needed.'

Every little helps
Small choices,
big impact

Impact live!

From shared rides to smarter habits – these stories show that real impact often starts small. And when we act together, every little thing truly helps.

Small habits that
become the new normal

‘Sustainability often starts with small habits that gradually become part of everyday work. Within the France & Iberia Cluster, reusable mugs quickly replaced disposable cups and LED lighting became a simple but effective improvement.

These examples show that small actions – like turning off lights or power strips at the end of the day – can create meaningful impact when adopted collectively.’

Sharing the ride,
sharing the impact

‘Travelling is sometimes part of the job. That’s why we’ve put a strong focus on car sharing – both to and from the office and when travelling in the field. What started as a practical solution quickly turned into something more. Colleagues get to know each other better, collaboration improves through premeeting alignment and we save on emissions too. A true win‑win.

By updating the Cluster rota well in advance, colleagues can easily align their travel plans with Lely Center needs and meetings. It’s quite simple, really, but very effective.’

Sustainability does not always come from big, bold decisions. Often, it starts with small, everyday choices: how we travel, how we meet and how we work together. Across Lely, colleagues are making conscious changes that may seem small on their own but together create real impact.

Ahead of Impact Live!, three colleagues from different regions share how every little helps in their daily work, and how these small actions add up to something much bigger.
