Thanks for following!

Time for dinner, and some much needed rest to recharge myself for day 2 of the Fieldays!

19:30

Time for a deserved drink

The first day of the Fieldays is done. Time for a deserved drink, a great way to unwind and analyze the day and look forward to the next days to come.

17:30

Other interesting talks going on

During the course of the first day, we have generated some positive leads for the sales team of Paul, Graham and Ryan to follow up post fieldays. We also have eager rural professionals keen to learn more, early in 2023 the sales team will be presenting to these professionals.

15:00

Team of today

Here we have the big team of today on the Fieldays. A motivated team, to bring that Lely message across in New Zealand. Everybody from the Sales & FMS teams will be representing Lely on our stand mingling and answering the questions farmers have on our automated products.

12:30

First talks are on their way

We are at the fieldays on the first of 4 days, the interest regarding the robotic milker is already beginning with plenty of eager farmers and industry partners, showing plenty of interest and especially watching the A5 live in person on display in our stand. People are surprised by the technology and I am sure the installed base will grow in New Zealand over the next years.

09:30

Time to rock!

Actually, there is no typical work day. Every day is different and it also depends on the time of the year. At the moment we have NZ’s biggest National Field Days happening in Mystery Creek, Hamilton, where we have a stand. I look forward to meeting potential customers here to share the Lely story, tell about our products and make them enthusiastic about our brand.

08:00

Rise & shine

I start my day with 2 poached eggs on toast, a strong black coffee to fuel me for the day & the exciting conversations ahead for our first big day on site at Mystery Creek Fieldays.

05:30

Hi there, my name is Ryan O'Connor, sales representative at the Lely Center Waikato in New Zealand. I joined Lely in October 2022 and have a massive background in the rural industry. I started my journey in the dairy industry with Farmsource, where I worked in the store network for 10 years.

After 10 years, I did a brief overseas experience over in Ireland where I re-connected with my family from abroad. On arrival home, I landed my first Rural Professional role as a Dairy Nutritionist with Inghams Feed’s for 3,5  years, specialising in Dairy Nutrition. I am eager to help Lely take that step forward in getting more milking robots installed in New Zealand.

Today it is Wednesday the first day of our National Fieldays and I will show you how these days flow.
