Five colleagues – with their own vision, background and perspective – react to one statement.

What’s your opinion and why?
Debbie: 'From a supply chain perspective, teamwork is the key to success. A strong supply chain is only as strong as the weakest link in the chain, and that is exactly where we as individuals can help each other to succeed.
This statement highlights a crucial aspect of modern supply chain management: the importance of collaboration. In supply chains, diverse teams can leverage different skills and perspectives to solve complex problems and thereby drive innovation. By working together across functions and geographies, teams can share insights that lead to more efficient processes, better resource management and, ultimately, more sustainable farming practices. This approach not only enhances productivity, but also fosters resilience against challenges such as market fluctuations or environmental changes.
Moreover, integrating diverse talents allows for creative solutions that can address sustainability-related issues more effectively, ensuring that all stakeholders – from farmers to consumers – benefit. In summary, teamwork in a supply chain context is not just beneficial; it’s essential for achieving long-term success and to be the trusted supplier to our farmers that we want to be.
What’s your opinion and why?
Sara: ‘As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Lely, I see every day how crucial teamwork is to Lely's success. By bringing together the unique talents of people from different departments and countries, we can truly innovate and build a sustainable future. This is what makes Lely so special: we do it together. Everyone, from product development to production and from sales to support, contributes to our shared mission. Because only by combining our strengths can we continue to lead in sustainable solutions. I am proud to be part of a team that builds a successful future every day – for our company, our customers, and the world.'
What’s your opinion and why?
Cyril: 'I would define teamwork as a group of individuals who decided to work together to reach a common goal in an efficient manner. In a growing company like Lely, it is capital to develop teamwork as it is the wealth of the company, even more when you have the chance to have multiples cultures and backgrounds. People’ diversification in a team brings the opportunity to have a global picture and to develop sharp analysis.
Personally, in my daily business, I try to be a team spirit facilitator by trusting, listening, sharing, congratulating and the most important, in my point of view, by bringing good mood day after day.
Trust will help people to be free and comfortable to express themselves in the best way, listening is important to better know people, sharing feedback and congratulating will help to reinforce trust. Cherry on the cake will be the good mood as it is easier to achieve targets on that way!
For all these reasons, I am convinced that teamwork will be one of the keys to make Impact 30 a success.'
What’s your opinion and why?
Ruben: 'Dairy farming is changing. Dairy farmers are crying out for a secure future while facing increasing pressure to reduce greenhouse gas, nitrogen, or phosphate emissions, improve animal welfare, or step aside altogether. I am convinced that technical solutions can help dairy farmers tackle these issues while simultaneously improving their financial situation.
Farmers cannot do it alone. Lely has a role to translate needs and available knowledge into tools that enable farmers to make their operations more efficient and sustainable, in line with society's changing demands. It is a complex challenge where knowledge of cows, farming, product development, and politics come together. At the same time, it’s also the most exciting challenge we could have: it forces us to stay creative, question habits, and turn big ideas into appealing products. All the expertise we have in-house is needed. Together, we can continue to innovate and contribute to a more sustainable world for future generations.'

What’s your opinion and why?
Judith: ‘Emphasizing on teamwork is crucial for the success of our new strategy Impact30. By leveraging our diverse talents and perspectives, we not only enhance our innovative capabilities but also create a more resilient approach to sustainable farming. Moreover, the context of the various geographies on sustainable farming allows for a deeper understanding of local cultures, economies, and environmental factors, which can shape strategies and goals effectively. This collaboration will allow us to tackle challenges and achieve greater impact together. I'm excited to see what we can accomplish when we unite our strengths!'
