Cluster DACH
The Smart Feeding Tour in the region DACH started successfully in mid-January. With the great truck and at impressive locations, farmers are introduced to the topic of smart feeding and there are great discussions. Whether from farmers, the Lely Centers or our colleagues from the cluster, there is only positive feedback and we are looking forward to the upcoming events.
Cluster France & Iberia
The France / Iberia 2020 CBM meeting honoured by the presence of our new CEO, André van Troost, accompanied by Mark Brummel (Regional Director WEMEA), Julide Iyigun (Regional Coordinator DCD WEMEA and NCEE), and Timo Joosten (Head of Product Management Customer Solutions, not in the picture). The whole group of 45 persons representing our Lely Center facilities in the region France/Iberia enjoyed the lovely and sunny weather of Barcelona and the discussions about the future of Lely.
Cluster RUCA - Russia
In the beginning of February Lely was present at the expo in Moscow. Where Lely won an Agros 2020 Expo award for the Lely Discovery Collector in the category Best Product.
Cluster SEET ORIENT - Italy
At the end of 2019 Lely Italy organized a national advisor day for feed advisors and nutritionists. This is a good example of teamwork and success. Colleagues of the Cluster worked closely together in preparing this event. The goals were to inspire, underline the importance of cooperation between Lely and the advisors and highlight how Lely and automation can help the advisors. The video proved to be very effective; it shows if you are there, you get something.
Cluster SEET ORIENT - Turkey
Turkey’s largest and among the four largest International Agriculture and Livestock fairs in Europe, AGROEXPO, is in Fuar İzmir…. The fair is aiming to host important international manufacturers, agriculture and livestock companies, local and international tractor manufacturers and our farmer. Last year: 12 holes and hosted 854 exhibitors, 337.240 visitors from 70 different countries. Also many local and International events had been organized for the guests for four days. All of the Lely Centers ın Turkey joined the event and followed lead s in their region. At the stand of Lely Turkey, the Lely Astronaut A5, the Lely Juno and the Lely Calm were displayed.
In our booth we used a miniature farm to explain the Lely concept. Lely farms can manage 80% of their business, at 20% of the farm. The producers who entrust their dairy cows to Lely reach sustainable, profitable and enjoyable farming, as they can focus more on dry animals and the calving area.

Lely Campus
During their work on the farm, the Lely Center engineers face many known but also unknown risks. To prepare the Lely Center employees as good as possible on this kind of situations, the Health & Safety Farm training has been set up.
The purpose of this training is to contribute to a safer working environment and to prevent accidents. The training is very diverse, from dealing with the cows and other animals on the farm, to the risks associated with manure gases. Lely Center Delta (the Netherlands) had the premiere on 4 February and with positive results!

POLAGRA-PREMIERY 2020 in numbers:
- The exhibition covered 7 pavilions with an area of nearly 50,000 m2
- For 3 days, the exhibition was visited by 29 310 people
- Nearly 400 brands were presented at the exhibition
- 150 absolute product news have been shown
- 37 MTP Group Gold Medals were awarded

Cluster Asia - Taiwan
On the 31st of January Lely had a re-opening at the first Lely customer in Taiwan. On 2017 Mr Gan bought an Lely Astronaut A4 (the first Lely Astronaut in Taiwan). Last year, during the exhibition in Taiwan he bought a second milking robot, the Lely Astronaut A5.

From 25 – 27 February the Lely North America Technical Service Support Conference took place at the new Woodstock, Ontario training facility. There were more than 75 learners from Lely Centers across the United States and Canada attending this 3 day event. The conference consisted of informative workshops, panel discussions and of course some fun activities. The soccer ball was part of a break-out session to promote group participation.
Event leads were Daan Stehouwer, Lucien Courchesne, Karri Scheffers.
